Every car I've ever owned ( I'm 82) I have hidden a spare key underneath - just in case. True to practice I ordered the fob. Price was right. But it cost me $85 bucks to get it programmed. Not bad. Then it occurred to me that the car has a "proximity" push button to start. So a fob underneath the car is the same as leaving the key in the ignition. Solution - hide an access key behind the license plate. Buy a shield pouch (Amazion - $10) insert the fob and store in the glove box. Live and learn.
