Most remotes can be self-programmed. There are 3 possible programming procedures below. If these do not work, you must have your remote programmed by a professional automotive locksmith or dealership.
Procedure #1

Obtain all remote transmitters for this vehicle.
1. Locate the red two wire programming connector located near the central
locking control module. Behind LH lower instrument panel.
2. Inside the red programming connector you will see two pins.
Jump the two pins with a section of wire. A paper clip bent in a "U" shape will also work.
3. System should now lock and unlock doors to indicate vehicle has entered
programming mode.
4. Press any button on keyless remote once. System should now lock and unlock
doors indicating the keyless remote has been programmed.
5. Repeat step 4 to program the other remote.
6. Remove jumper wire from programming connector to exit programming mode.
7. Test Remote(s).

Procedure #2

Obtain all remote transmitters for this vehicle.
1. Locate the Data Link Connector (DLC) underneath the driver's side dashboard. Please refer to the diagram above to identify the proper pins, the letters will not be
on the connector. They are for reference on diagram only.
2. Connect cavity G with a ground using a fused jumper wire. Your vehicle will respond by locking and unlocking the door locks within 2 seconds.
3. Press any button on first remote to be programmed. Locks will lock and unlock verifying remote was programmed.
4. Press any button on second remote to be programmed if applicable. Locks will lock and unlock to verify remote was programmed.
5. Remove jumper wire and test remote(s).

Procedure #3

Obtain all remote transmitters for this vehicle.
1. Locate the Data Link Port. It is located under drivers side dash. You may need to lay on the floor and look up under the dash to see it. Be sure you know which ports are 8 and 4. Notice the port is wider on the top row. If you are looking at the port with the wide row on top and the narrow row on bottom, Port 1 will be in the upper left corner and port 8 in the upper right corner. Be sure there are metal pins inside ports 8 and 4. Please refer to the diagram above to locate the proper pins. The numbers are not on the connector, they are only for reference.
2. Connect pin 8 to pin 4 with a suitable jumper wire. Any short piece of wire will work fine. A paper clip bent in the shape of a U will work perfect. (leave the jumper wire connected throughout the programming procedure). The vehicle will respond by locking and unlocking the doors to indicate vehicle has entered programming mode.
3. Press and hold both the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons together on the first remote to be programmed. After about 15 seconds, the vehicle will respond by locking and unlocking the doors. Release the buttons on the remote.
4. Within one minute, repeat step 3 on all additional remotes including working ones to be programmed.
5. Remove the jumper wire connected to the Data Link Port.

Pretty good March 27, 2015

For a used remote I expected blemishes which it does have, I also expected that it would have been clean which it wasn't, in fact it had dirt all over it. My only feed back which kept the experience from being 5 stars is if you are going to market the option of shipping the remote with a new battery, you should also include the suggested quantity which wasn't known that this remove took two instead of one battery. Also while we are on the subject of batteries it seemed to imply that by checking that box the remote would be shipped with the battery replaced already which it was not, it was just thrown in the package loosely. Also the replacement battery wasn't the same as the dead batteries that were included in the remote. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from you again. Just suggesting some feed back for 5 star service.

Can't figure out how to program December 2, 2013
Reviewer: Jerry Miller from Omaha, NE United States
I was told and also says on the site that there are 2 red wires to jump inside the key fob until locks close and open. There are no wires at all to jump. Luckily all I needed was the battery side with the tabs in tact to make contact  with my old board. The tab for the unlock side broke off on my old one. So I just swapped that out and my old board works fine with the new battery side.  Hope my old board doesn't fail now because I have no idea how to program the one I got on here. Couldn't  find ANY info on 1996 and older vehicles anywhere on the web that addressed mine.

From Keyless Entry Remote Inc:  Jerry, sorry for the trouble you had.  Did you try calling your local dealership and ask them if they could help with self programming the key fob?
