On the original remote for my wife’s ‘06 TL, the labels on the buttons had worn off and the loop for the key ring had broken. Once this got to my house, I cracked open the old one, took out the remote module and the battery terminal and performed a simple transplant. Took less than 5 minutes. If you happen to have the same remote, the easiest way I found to get the metal plate off the old remote for use in the new is to use pliers and break off the two plastic prongs that hold it in place. Only thing I would have liked to see is the Acura logo on the back, but that’s pretty minor.
