Part 6 – Cutting Standard or EC Keys

Instructional Overview

• Search Process: From the home page, select Search then Vehicle Keys. Enter the make, model, and year to locate the specific code series for the vehicle.
• Card Options: Tapping the green card button displays measurements, angles, and blank dimensions. You can use Card Options to adjust the cut type or clamp setup.
• Cutting by Code: Select Code, enter your indirect code, and search. Review the cuts and graphic, then select Cut. The software will specify which clamp, cutter, and tip stop to use.
• Execution: Load the key against the tip stop, lock the jaw, and remove the tip stop tool. Lower the safety shield and select Start on the tablet. Flip the key to cut side two after side one is finished.
• Additional Tools: Use Manual Cuts if the code is unknown, or Partial Cuts to find codes for a broken key. Decode can be used to read cuts from an existing working key.
