Part 7 – Decoding Standard or EC Keys

Instructional Overview

• Search for the Card: From the home screen, select search then vehicle keys. Locate your vehicle's make, model, and year, then select the green card button. Alternatively, access it via your favorites if previously saved.
• Initiate Decoding: Once the card is selected, tap Decode on the right side. Note that you must use the specific clamp and jaw side designated by the machine.
• Mobile Tracer Setup: Unlock the small red knob above the clamp station, guide the tracer to the left, lower it into place over the key, and lock the knob again.
• Execution: Lower the safety shield and select Start. The tracer will measure each cut's depth and display the indirect code on the tablet.
• Cutting from Decode: Move the tracer back to its starting position, insert your blank key, and select Cut followed by Start to originiate the new key.
