Part 3 – Setting Up the Software

Instructional Overview

Proper software configuration is essential for accurate key cutting. Follow these settings precisely:

• From the home screen of the Futura Auto tablet, select Options.
• Navigate to Settings > Options on the left sidebar.
  • General Settings:
    • Measurement Units: Ensure "Thousands of an inch" is selected.
    • Language: Choose your preferred operating language.
    • Reference Key Manufacturer: Set this to Ilco.
  • Standard Key Preferences: Ensure all three boxes are checked, then save changes.
  • Dimple/Track Key Preferences: Ensure the box is checked, then save changes.
